I'm a big fan of Jennifer McGuire- she's so talented and creative.  She's a Garden Girl on Two Peas and you can check out her bio here.  Her article from the October 2007 issue featured three new techniques for ribbon.  Here's her online article from Creating Keepsakes.  For the first technique, I thought it was really cool because she uses the Squeeze punches from Fiskars (you know, those dark blue punches that you use upside-down?).  Here's the cute, cute, C-U-T-E page she did featuring the first technique...

New Disney products now in stores!

I love Disney, so I couldn't be happier to see all of the new Disney products in the stores!  New 12x12 patterned papers and new embellishments- all from EK Success!

The accordion books are awesome- they're around $5 and make great, quick mini albums!

And just like Disney, we still have some "Classic" Disney products in the stores!  Felicia and the gals at the Macedonia store have done a great job at making 8x8 layouts featuring Disney products with a little twist- these pages are great for more than just scrapbooking your Disney memories...

I'm thinking I may want the QuicKutz Vixen alphabet now after seeing the titles on the "The Ultimate Trantrum" and "Two For Tea" pages! 

Great job to the Macedonia gals!  They're so creative!

"Hit The Books" classes at all stores in October!

All the stores have been busy creating and designing great upcoming classes.  We're starting something new this fall- all stores will have the same kind of class, but each store gets to design their own project!  In October, all stores will have a "Hit The Books" class- a two-page, 12x12 layout class featuring the new Stemma school papers and jumbo paper clips.  It's kinda like a design challenge for the stores- everyone has the same/similiar products, but each store comes up with their own design!  All stores are now accepting sign-ups for their "Hit The Books" class now!  Here are their classes:

First Day of Autumn Open House Pictures from the Indianapolis, Indiana store!

We all had a great time during yesterday's "First Day of Autumn Open House" at all of the stores!  I wanted to post the pictures from the Indianapolis, Indiana store.  Kristy and Vicki did a great job getting everything ready for an awesome event!

See how excited Vicki was?  Thanks to all the Indianapolis customers for coming out for the Open House!  Be sure to mark your calendar for the next Open House (coming up in November!).

First Day of Autumn Open House

Just a reminder to stop in this coming Sunday, September 23rd for our First Day of Autumn Open House.  Each Cord Scrapbook Studio location will have apple cider, baked goodies and cookies to celebrate the first day of Autumn.  We'll also have selected summer-themed products at 30% off.  All of the stores will have an idea gallery showcasing great ideas for fall and to inspire your creativity!  I know all of the ladies have been working really hard on all of their samples and projects for you to come and see!  Each store will also have a free make-n-take, and then also a $3 and a $5 make-n-take too!

New round of make-n-takes at the Warren, Ohio store...

The creative and talented ladies at the Warren, Ohio store are at it again and have created an awesome new round of make-n-takes!  Each Wednesday, a limited quantity of new make-n-take mini-kits are prepared and offered to their customers (limit of one per customer).  This round's theme is based around recipe cards and customers get the basic ingredients in their mini-kit to go home and create their own recipe card or recipe page!  The gals at the Warren store make their own recipe cards too and have theirs on site to inspire you for your own set!

The first make-n-take was the Apple mini-kit and here are the recipe cards that were created...

Each mini-kit will contain the die-cut (like the apple), the two circles and a strip of coordinating patterned paper.

Their make-n-take area is right inside the door by their check-out counter...

They also have great coordinating product right there by the make-n-take table for you to purchase to create your recipe card set!  Here are a few of the upcoming make-n-takes...

Aren't they just adorable?  Perfect for getting the inspiration and going home to make more of the same cards to create sets for Christmas!  Also perfect for bridal shower gifts!  Be sure to stop in at the Warren, Ohio store each Wednesday to make-n-take your own recipe card!
