I had the privilege of manning the Crop Camp registration table this afternoon with Becky from the old Warren store! YAY! Personally, I think that working the registration table is one of the coolest jobs at camp because you get to see everyone coming in and share in some of their excitement about the weekend ahead! (Plus, it was just plain awesome hangin' out with Becky again...thanks for joinin' us for the weekend, Becky!)
It's been a long time since October 4th last year when pre-registration for Cord Crop Camp 2009 began early in the morning (10am) at our Cord Scrapbook Studio stores! But... do you remember the "Early Birds"group from the Macedonia store who lined up at 6am to secure their spots at camp?
This is Nancy Cooper's chair she used to hold her place in line (as it was a LITTLE too chilly in North East Ohio to stand outside!) She was the first camper in line to pre-register...
So how cool is it that she was also the first camper to register this morning?! Great to see you, Nancy!
These are the Amy Butler bags campers received at registration this year, along with their Camper Survival Handbook and Name Badge. I didn't get a picture of all of the bags lined up together because all 160 just didn't fit in a single frame, but it's pretty neat seeing all of them all lined up together, just waiting to find their new home with our "Spring Fling" campers!
At 12pm, the crop room doors opened...
See, campers are divided into "cabins", each one with it's own color. To help campers find their seats, each cabin's designated seating area is marked with balloons which makes a really colorful display for croppers upon arrival! Then, at each of their seats are a coordinating Amy Butler tool caddy to organize their tools and supplies!
Seeing everything come together with all of the spring colors was just so cool this morning... it is going to be an incredibly exciting weekend here at the Bertram Inn in Aurora, Ohio!
Stay tuned for additional crop camp pictures and updates throughout the weekend!
