I saw this sign hanging in the Provo Craft booth and thought all you Cricut-lovers would happy to see it--100+ new cartridges coming in 2010! Just when you thought there was almost a cartridge for everything...well, turns out there's a lot in store for us!
In fact, new, innovative cartridges aren't all that's in store--in the next two years Provo Craft will be introducing five new machines! Five! F-I-V-E.
And the first of these new innovations is... the Cricut Cake--a personal, electronic cutting machine that cuts gum paste, frosting sheets and more using any Cricut cartridge out there in addition to a selection of cartridges geared specifically toward cake decorating.
KitchenAid meets the crafting world--see that beauty in red & silver there on the counter? Well, that's the Cricut Cake. Now you can create beautiful, one-of-a-kind wedding cakes, birthday cakes and more, adding your own creative flair to store-bought or homebaked cakes, cupcakes and cookies.
When you take that kind of creativity and pair it up with over a hundred different cartridges...just imagine the possibilities! Available in early May 2010, the new Cricut Cake machine is manufactured with food-safe materials and features food safe tools and accessories for use with a wide array of edible materials. It can cut images up to 12x24", and is expected to retail for $399.
The CHA show floor was a sea of white chef's hats and coats as customers crowded the stage for demonstrations and giveaways for their new products. They even had cake-and-makes--a yummy way to experience the new machine! I for one am excited for the possibilities..aren't you?
