You know how most Mondays are kinda blah and hum-drum? Well... Me and my Starbucks (a Salted Caramel Apple Cider, thankyouverymuch) are embracing this first day of the week with a little hip-hip cheerio instead. It certainly doesn't take much more than warmer-than-usual February temperatures to put a little "spring" in this girl's step, I tell ya!
This morning I've got a cheerful card to share with you, courtesy of Ruthie from the Graceland store... All you need is a sheet of patterned paper, some coordinating cardstock and ribbon, nesting circle and scallop punches and the stamp sentiment of your choice. Assemble the card as shown and either leave the tags as a simple visual element, or make them interactive by turning your patterned paper into a pocket for sliding tags!
Punched pieces are layered using dimensional adhesives and the sentiment Ruthie chose is from Hero Arts, though just about any one-lined sentiment will do. Which begs the question... if you're a card-maker, do you prefer to add your sentiments and greetings as you're putting together your cards? Or... do you leave them blank and add whatever sentiment you need when the time comes? Just curious...
Ruthie's card was based on a sketch found in Scrapbook Generation's "Sketches for Cardmaking, Volume 2", available in stores and online. Whether you're already a seasoned card-marker, a scrapbooker looking to dabble in handmade greetings on the side, or someone totally new to papercrafting and just looking for an avenue to get started, these sketch books come highly recommended by our staff as a necessary addition to your library!
We've got a lot of new product arriving in stores this week that I can wait to share on the blog these next few days--it's gonna be great! Have a fantastic week, everyone!

Very cute card.
Most of my cards already have the sentiment on it. That way I can just grab one quick when I need it and send it off in the mail.
