Given the warmer-than-usual December temperatures and the lack of holiday snowfall thus far, I'm going to need you to imagine--just for a second--that there's a foot of snow outside your window right now.
Pretty, white, sparkly piles of snow as far as the eye can see. And since we're imagining, we might as well pretend there's no muddy slush or ice dirtying our pretty picture here and that we don't have to go out and drive in it for any reason whatsoever. There... much better.
Now you're probably wondering why I'm asking you to picture snow when you're probably rejoicing that in 14 days of December and on into this week's forecast, there has been and probably won't be any snow AT ALL.
I'm not crazy... Really. Reason #1 is... I'm a snow belter, through-and-through. Born and raised up near Lake Erie, it's what I know and it just doesn't feel like December--let alone Christmas--without it!
But more importantly, Reason #2 is that it's time to announce the first 12-Hour Crop of 2012 and I wanted to "set the mood"!
See... "Beat the Winter Blues" sounded so much more fun & festive than "Beat the Winter Rain" so we went with it. But what is a "Beat the Winter Blues" crop without any winter blues (a.k.a. some serious snowfall)? Hence our little imagining game...
Rain or snow, the point is... we're having a 12-Hour crop the fourth Saturday in January (the 28th) at our Graceland & Nora stores and we'd LOVE to have you join us! Registration is open now and your $18 crop fee includes 4ft of crop space with a comfy reclinable chair, a "snack pack" and bottled water, exclusive offers for after-hours shopping and a little gift from us.
Who knows. At the rate this season's going, we could be hosting the crop wearing shorts and flip-flops (carrying an umbrella), but at least we'll have a blast regardless of the weather!
I like shorts and flip flops!! Come and join us all Nora Croppers....We will have a blast!! Let's fill the HOUSE!!
