If you thought the announcement of our new Design Team pretty much encompassed all that's been happenin' here at Cord Scrapbook Studio lately, well... phew! This is just the beginning! I tell ya... I've been feelin' like a long-tailed cat in a room full of rockers!
And that's why I'm back to bloggin' after a short hiatus--back to bringing you the new product updates and announcements that make this blog one of our number one resources for keeping tabs with what's going on in stores! Which reminds me...
The new Dear Lizzy: Neapolitan collection is headed to a Cord Scrapbook Studio near you with their afternoon deliveries TODAY! You got it, toyota... a brand new collection from designer Elizabeth Kartchner and industry leader American Crafts! Part birthday collection, part springtime & frills--all of it FUN, this new line is a sweet treat for scrapbookers and card-makers alike!
And what you see here is merely a small sample of the goodies you'll find with this line--there are 6x6 paper pads, dimensional accents, miniature alphabet stickers and pinwheels... It's fun stuff, I tell ya!
There is one item I have to make a special mention of though, as it's my favorite piece from the entire line, though it's still on backorder and we've got a couple of weeks before it comes available. It's the Dear Lizzy Rolling Date Stamp.
And here's the thing... I know this amazing scrapper (who also happens to be a close friend) that dates every single layout she does with a date stamp. And I've always said to myself, (having been so inspired by her doing this so religiously over the years) "Self... when I grow up, I want to be a date stamp kind of scrapper." Because yes, you can include days and years and stuff if your title or your journaling, but something about having that stamped date either hidden someplace clever or clearly visible somewhere on a page that makes things feel so "official".... so "archival"... so "documented."
It's like... you capture these awesome moments with your camera and you decide to scrapbook them. And you're getting "into" the process and recording the memory and when everything's all prettied up and fancy, that finishing stamp is like the punctuation at the end of a fascinating statement. BAM! I'm going to remember this moment for the years to come. Ohhhh yeah.
Now I can do just that--be all official-like and fully documented with the added bonus of some cutesie companion phrases in one nifty lil' stamp-a-ma-jig. And if that kinda thing floats your boat, too... give us a ring and let us know to set one aside for you. We can all be date-stamping archivists together. :-)
We've got a few more "tricks" up our sleeve for the next few months... and by "tricks", I of course mean fun things headed your way...starting with a special announcement with tomorrow's post. I'll give you a hint... prepare to mark your calendar. 'Nuff said.
oh i can't wait to hear the announcement!!
