Happy Monday, everyone! I trust you've had a fabulous weekend and are ready to embrace the days ahead! I'm going to take pause right here and remind you that if you haven't yet voted for the Design Team entries you favor, you should pop on over and do so, here. Thanks!
Now... back to this week's sketch!!
How many of you follow the Got Sketch? blog with Valerie Salmon and team?! We highly recommend their sketches as a source of creative inspiration!
As a matter of fact, Sketch #136 just happens to have been the source for Vicki's layout here... let's take a look!
First, the sketch...
Please note that the sketches from Got Sketch are in fact copyright protected and are intended for personal use only.
Special thanks to Valerie for allowing us to share this sketch with you today--we appreciate it!
When you have a sec, hop on over to their FB page and send 'em some love, will ya?
And now for a little eye-candy inspired by the sketch...
You'll note that in the original sketch, it calls for three smaller photos... but here, she's altered it a bit to include one larger photo. It just goes to show that you can do almost ANYTHING with a sketch! Remember... they're a STARTING point. Whether you duplicate them exactly or allow your pages to morph into something totally new, sketches serve the purpose of GETTING YOU STARTED. Consider them the spark that ignites your creative flame...
The patterned papers and elements used in Vicki's layout come from Echo Park's "A Boy's Life" collection--new in stores this past month. And the baby in the photo? Well... he's not for sale (cute as he may be!)
Thanks for joining us for this week's sketch!
We hope you have a GREAT week!
Great sketch!
