In the midst of all the seasonal and holiday-themed merchandise pouring into stores, it's refreshing (and exciting) to see something totally neutral in that respect. I mean, I love the holidays as much as the next scrapper, but I'm not always working on holiday stuff when the holiday stuff's what's in stores... know what I'm sayin'?! So today, I'm please to announce the arrival of two new collections from Pink Paislee--Portfolio and Artisan!
There is a HUGE trend in papercrafting/scrapbooking right now that really stresses a focus on documenting every day. Call it what you will--I personally call it the "Project Life" effect and if you like the part of memory documentation that centers on capturing the tiny, wonderful details of the every day, this is most likely a trend you've picked up on!
For me, that's what this collection is all about... scrapbooking the little snippets of life, one at a time--little by little--in a fun, trendy way! You can see a bit of this collection in action here on the Pink Paislee Blog. It's worth the extra click... Vicki Boutin's album is adorable.
Where "Portfolio" was all about capturing moments and preserving photos... "Artisan" is all about getting down-and-dirty and having a little FUN at your craft table! Pink Paislee has taken the desire for crafters to make their titles, accents and embellishments totally customizable to a whole new level!!
Take, for example, the dimensional foam word stickers...
"This material is extremely unique and no one has anything else like it on the market. It is naturally white / cream in color and even feels a little squishy. They are not hard like resin or plastic; you will love how pliable they are and how you can bend them slightly if needed...The surface is slightly slick so you will want to use acrylic paints, permanent inks and dye inks to add color to these. You can even use your favorite Sharpie Pens on them (see image below). Just allow them to dry completely before adding them to your project. I also want to point out that they are not that bulky; even though the detail is amazing…they are thinner than most chipboard embellishments."
And that, my friends, is straight from the horse's mouth! (A.k.a. Pink Paislee.) Sounds like fun, eh? Imagine the possibilities!
For additional ideas & inspiration in using either of these collections, visit the Pink Paislee blog and/or Facebook Page. They're ALWAYS loading up their content with examples of their product in action--it's FAB.U.LOUS.
These collections look fabulous!
